Peggy Ford Thompson, 72, of Clarksville, TN died Friday June 10, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 31, 1938 in Clarksville, daughter of the late Joseph B. Ford and Mary M. Haley Ford. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dr. Billy Thompson.
Services will be held at Hilldale Baptist Church on Sunday June 12, 2011 at 2 PM Brother Terry Brown and Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 to 4 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and 1 PM until the hour of the service Sunday at the Church.. Pallbearers will be Stephen King, Ryan King, Nathan Fish, Jacob LaRue, Kevin Haley, and Kevin Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 1957 class of Clarksville High School.
Peggy was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church and was retired from the Clarksville Montgomery County School System.
Survivors include daughter, Julie Thompson Leggett (Jim), Hendersonville, TN; two brothers, Steve Ford (Karen) and Marty Ford, Indian Mound, TN; three sisters, Dianne King (Harold), Nashville; Sharon Fish (Lloyd), Elizabethtown, KY; and Judy Ford, Haverhilll, MA; and three granchildren, Chelsea Claxton, Jeremy and Briana Leggett.
