Obituary

John J. "Jack" Fayle, 76, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 14, 1935 in Wakefield, MA, a son of the late William H. and Irene (Holland) Fayle. Mr. Fayle was a hardworking, lifelong union man, retiring as a construction foreman and was a member of the Pile Drivers Local Union 56 in Boston, MA since 1955. He was also a member of the Westside Social Club of Wakefield, MA. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Renown for his artful fly-tying, Jack saw himself as the "World's Best Trout and Salmon Fisherman," and no one disagreed with him.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucy (O'Doherty) Fayle of Derry, his seven children, Mike Fayle and his wife Jan of Barrington, Ed Fayle and his wife Heidi of Tamworth, Jack Fayle of Sandown, Chris Fayle of Derry, Lucy Fayle of Derry, Billy Fayle and his wife Chris of Londonderry, and Tim Fayle of Derry, five grandchildren, Ryan and Paul Mead, Mia, Atticus and Bryn Fayle, one sister, Florence Fayle Garofalo of Stoneham, MA, one brother, Steve Fayle of Belchertown, MA and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A private Memorial Mass will be held by the family. A celebration of Jack's life will be held at a later date in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's memory to NH Fish and Game, ATTN: Tanya, 11 Hazen drive, Concord, NH 03301.
