Thomas A.”Tommy” Nicoletti, 53, died on June 8, 2011 at Cape Heritage Nursing and Rehab in Sandwich, this following a brave battle with injuries he sustained in an automobile accident on Dec. 7, 2009. Born in Providence, RI, on April 13, 1958, he was the son of James F. and Lorraine (Cote) Nicoletti. Many of his early years were spent in Fall River. As a young man he lived in Boston where he held various jobs but what he enjoyed most and what most of his friends remember are the approximately 10 years he worked security for clubs and at major concerts on Lansdowne St. Tommy oversaw shows and events including world famous performers such as Cher, Duran Duran, Prince, Aerosmith and Black Flag. He became a fixture of the music scene in Boston and made many friends that became his extended family. Eventually he moved west, to California and Arizona. While living on the west coast he sold Real Estate. Missing the east coast, he eventually moved back and settled on the outer cape in No. Truro and Provincetown. He started his own cleaning service called Tommy's Cleaning Service which he enjoyed. He was often accompanied by his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Sunny. He was quietly generous and supported many Provincetown organizations. He loved his life in Provincetown which included his many friends and his love of the ocean. This was evident by the big smile which was so much a part of who Tommy was.
He leaves both a legacy of kindness and a vast number of friends in Provincetown, Truro, Boston and across the country.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at the Provincetown United Methodist Church 20 Shank Painter Rd. Provincetown at 11:00am on June 22, 2011 If desired, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Provincetown United Methodist Church P.O. Box 311 Provincetown, MA 02657.
