Obituary

WORCESTER-Patrick Tubridy, 77 of 6 North Worcester Avenue died Sunday, February 10th in his home after an illness. He leaves his wife of 46 years M. Carol (Bagin) Tubridy, his daughter Patricia A. Walsh of Holden, 3 sons John J. Tubridy of Chelmsford, Michael F. Tubridy of Charlottesville, VA and Kevin P. Tubridy of Greencastle, IN, his brother Joseph Tubridy of County Clare, Ireland, 9 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. 3 brothers John J., Michael B. and James Tubridy, and 2 sisters Mary Quinn and Delia Clarke predeceased him.

He was born in County Clare, Ireland the son of Patrick J. and Margaret (Looney) Tubridy and came to this country many years ago. He was educated in Ireland. Mr. Tubridy had been a millwright for Wyman-Gordon, Worcester plant for 40 years, he retired in 1988. He was a member of St. George’s Church and it’s Men’s Club, the First Friday Club, the Emerald Club, the Ancient Order of Hibernians-Division 36, Alhambra Council Knights of Columbus, the Greendale Retired Men’s Club and the United Steelworkers Union.

The funeral will be Thursday February 14th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday February 13th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Donations may be made to St. George's Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester, MA 01606 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
