Obituary

Mrs. Elda F. Rossi, 86 of Medford, died Tuesday at her late residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John Rossi.
Born in Medford, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Macaluso) Cammarata. She attended local school. A graduate of Medford High School, class of 1943. she continued her education with two years of college. She was a lifelong Medford resident and spent her entire life on the same street having moved only once. She was known to have jokingly said she “was born and died on Morton Ave” She enjoyed spending summers in Plymouth with her children and their families. A loving grandmother and great grandmother, she loved the company of her immediate and extended family and friends. She loved to crochet, play the lottery and spend time in her garden tending to her beloved rose bushes. She will be remembered as a great cook. She is survived by five sons: John Rossi and his wife Rose of Wareham, Kenneth Rossi and his wife Cathy of Methuen, Joseph Rossi of Medford, Russell Rossi of Medford, Martin Rossi and his wife Caroline of Methuen. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Josephine Landry, William and Murphy Cammarata. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford, Friday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
