Funeral services for Janice Marie Koon Nipper, 69, of Ashburn will be held Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Nipper died Tuesday in Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Nipper was born in Shiloh, Ga. She had resided in Turner County most of her life and was a retired manager of Chicken Delight. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking, looking after her grandchildren, reading, watching game shows and especially her church. She was preceded in death by one son, Warren Stanley Nipper.
She is survived by her husband, Warren Nipper, Ashburn, Ga., one son and two daughters in law, Scott & Eloise Nipper, Tifton, Ga, & Susan Nipper, Sycamore, Ga.; two daughters and one son in law, Pamela Golding, Sycamore, Ga., Patricia & David Dove, Ashburn, Ga. She is also survived by her brother, Herman Koon, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and her sister, Peggy Hillard, Adel, Ga. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
