Obituary

George A Talbot, age 88, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Brockton Hospital. George is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Sherman Talbot, his son, Gary Talbot and his daughter-in-law, Maura Talbot of El Paso, TX, his 2 step-sons, Phillip Sherman of Marshfield and Stephen Sherman of San Francisco, CA, his 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He was born in Everett and lived in Malden for 30 years before moving to Halifax 32 years ago. George was a Machinist for the Charlestown Navy Yard for 32 years. He served his Country by serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Army during World War II and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. George was an active member and usher of the Holy Nativity Church, enjoyed oil painting, loved playing the Organ and gardening. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at the Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth on Wednesday, June 15 at 10 A.M.
