Inga M. (Nelson) Nelson, 96, died peacefully at her daughter's home on Monday, June 6, 2011. Her husband, the love of her life for 66 years, Gunnar P. Nelson, died in 2006. She was loving mother to Roger C. Nelson and his fiancée Joanne Park; and Karin Sadowski and her husband Robert. She also leaves grandchildren Tammy & Mike Fuller, Stephen & Jennifer Nelson, and David Sadowski; and great-grandchildren Matt, Nate, Jess, Heather, Zack, Jamie, and Adam. She was predeceased by her brother Carl B. Nelson and her sister Violet M. Courteau.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Carl Nelson and Thorborg (Olson) Nelson. Inga attended Wellspring United Methodist Church and enjoyed being part of the church family, Tea at Three, and the Stitchery Group.
A funeral service will be held in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester Saturday, June 11, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 -11 in the funeral home.
