Leo J. Allard, 74, of Larch St, Woonsocket, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Pauline (Rainville) Allard. Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Valmore and Rosealma (Glaude) Allard.
He had worked as a utility welder at General Motors, Framingham, and later at R&R Machine doing shipping and receiving. In his leisure he enjoyed fishing, boating and woodworking.
Mr. Allard is survived by his son, Richard Allard and his wife Claire of N. Smithfield, his daughter, Lisa Allard and his sister, Eva Allard both of Woonsocket, a daughter-in-law, Martha Allard of FL, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by two sons, Michael and Raymond Allard, and by his brother Robert Allard.
Visitation will be held in the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 S. Main St. Woonsocket on Wednesday from 4-6:30PM, followed by a Prayer Service in the funeral home at 6:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA, 02241.
