Joseph Mendolia Jr. 94, in Needham formerly of Newton Upper Falls and Wareham died on Saturday January 30th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. Born in Italy, Joseph was resident of Newton Upper Falls for over 60 years. He worked his way through Peterson College in Boston where he received his Engineering Degree. He was an engineer for the City of Newton School Department for over 40 years. Joseph was also a member of the Benevolent Order of the Elks # 1327 in Newton. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Cericola). Loving father of Robert J. and his wife Mary Ann Mendolia of Needham. Brother of the late Nicholas Mendolia. Grandfather of Debra and her husband Norman Kenney Jr. of Newton Upper Falls and Nancy O’Toole of Medfield. Great grandfather of Norman, Kristin, R.J., Amanda, Danny and Brian. Funeral at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Saturday Feb. 7th at 11:30 AM. Visiting hours Saturday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 prior to the service. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
