THOMAS J. WOOD, 88, of Louisville, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011.
He was retired from Cook Lumber Company, a former employee of Brown Brothers Lumber Company in Dale, IN, a member of Shively Christian Church and an Army Veteran of World War II, having served with the 7th 12th Tank Battalion and earning four Bronze Stars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christeen Wood.
He is survived by his sons, Tommy Wood (Alma) and Tim Wood (Debora); brother, Ernest E. Wood; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
His service will be Friday 11am at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 12 noon-8pm at the funeral home.
