Ann J. (Birmingham) Foley, 89, died peacefully on May 29, 2011 in Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ann was born in Lynn on November 26, 1921. Together with her husband Frank “Fran” the love of her life, she raised her family in Danvers. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be sadly missed by those lives she touched. During her 8 year stay at Methuen Health and Rehab., Ann became everyone’s friend and always had a big smile and kind words for those she met. If you sat down to chat with her, she would always offer a “nice cup of tea”.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Francis and her sister Nora “Rita” LeBlanc. She is survived by a son and two daughters, Shawn Foley and his wife Jennifer of NJ, Colleen Capozzi and her husband Michael of Andover and Maureen Chipman and her husband Gary of NH, six grandchildren, Maegan, Carson, Jeffrey, Lindsay, Andrea and Matthew and two sisters, Mary Clement of CT and Katherine Alkins of NH and several nieces and nephews.
Ann’s family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the nurses, CNA’s and Rehab. Team and everyone else who loved and cared for her. A special thank you to Sarah Bryant who always found extra time to assume Mom was happy and comfortable when her health began to decline.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30AM on Thurs., June 2, 2011 at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. Hrs are Wed. from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
