Obituary

Hudson, MA Estelle F. (Pikula) Walsh, 80, of Hudson, died on Sunday, May 29th surrounded by her loving family at Marlboro Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. “Tuck” Walsh of Hudson. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in March of this year.
Estelle was born in Hudson, daughter of Stephen and Blanche (Jusseaume) Pikula. She was raised in Naugatuck, Connecticut where she attended local schools and was a graduate of Naugatuck H.S. Shortly after high school, Estelle moved back to Hudson and along with her husband raised her family. She enjoyed gardening, spending the summers at their summer home in Eastham, Cape Cod and crocheting many items for her family and friends. Estelle cherished the times she spent with her family, especially her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her loving smile and apple pies she baked on so many occasions. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her 7 children, Kathleen Walsh of Brewster, Christine Walsh-Kelly and husband Kevin of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, Maureen Harris of Northboro, Kate Walsh of San Pedro, California, Erin Walsh-Libby and husband Marty of Hudson, Ann Walsh of Burnsville, Minnesota and Tom Walsh of Boston. She is also survived by her sister, Florence Indish of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; 7 grandchildren, Brian and Christopher Kelly, Nathan Harris, Briana Baker, Benjamin, Michaella and Nicholas Libby; her 2 great grandchildren, Thomas Kelly and Caroline Kelly and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Blanche Donahue of Hudson and Frank Pikula of Connecticut.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1st at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 31st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
