WORCESTER-R. Virginia Nagle, 82, of 127 Kendig Street, died Saturday, February 9th, in UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus, after a short illness. Her husband, Attorney John F. Nagle died in 1976. She leaves four brothers Harry Jr., Frank and Robert Clarke all of Worcester and Walter Clarke of W. Brookfield; three sisters Cecelia A. Bender of Worcester, Dorothy Brook of Auburn and Eva A. Savage of Melbourne, FL; and nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Harry and Anna (Carroll) Clarke and lived here many years. She was a graduate of The Perkins Institute for the Blind in Watertown, MA. Mrs. Nagle was a homemaker most of her life. She was a volunteer for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind; and an organizer for the National Federation for the Blind and also provided counseling for newly blind in Washington, D.C. and the greater Worcester area.
The funeral will be held Monday, February 11th, with a service at 11:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Monday, February 11th, in the funeral home.
