Thomas E. Rice, 62, of Derry, NH died Friday May 27, 2011 at the Grace House of Windham, NH. Mr. Rice was born in Gloucester, MA on February 8, 1949 the son of Greg V. Rice and the late, Virginia (Snow) Rice. Tom had resided in Derry for the past 10 years, formerly living in Chester, NY. He was employed for many years in the printing ink field and had worked for several companies including, Superior Printing Ink in NYC, NY, Flint Ink in Ann Arbor, MI and F & F Printing Ink in Montreal, Canada. Tom enjoyed golfing and was also an avid reader and writer.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharon (Kaplan) Rice of Derry, two sons, Zachary Rice and Devan Rice, both of Derry, his father, Greg V. Rice of Boca Raton, FL, his brother, Joseph Rice of Delray Beach, FL, also one niece and one nephew.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday June 3, 2011 from 4 – 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 4th at 11:00am in St. Ann's Church, 74 Pleasant St., Gloucester, MA. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service at The Gloucester House, 63 Rogers St., Gloucester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace House, 23 Mammoth Rd., Windham, NH 03087.
