Obituary

WORCESTER-Chau Van Vo, 68, of Worcester, died Thursday, May 26th in UMass-Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Suong Thi Nguyen; two sons, Jonathan Vo (Vo Anh Tuan) and his wife Mylinh and their children, Tiffany, Jennifer, and Timothy of Worcester, and Chanh Vo and his wife Huynh Thi Cam Hong and their children Duc Huy and Duc Hoang of Caibe, Vietnam; a daughter, KimChi Thi Vo and her son Thanh Huu Nguyen of Caibe, Vietnam; and a large extended family in his adopted home in the United States.
He was born in Vietnam, the son of Bon Van Vo and Huynh Thi Thep and moved here in 1997. Mr. Vo was a clerk at TJ Maxx, and was still working at the time of his death. In Vietnam, he was a teacher and principal and served in the Vietnamese Army.
Mr. Vo was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. A devoted husband and father, he cherished times spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Calling hours are from 1:00 until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 31st in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. The funeral and cremation will be private.
