Hazel Lee Smith Kee, 68, of Tifton died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate. Her grandsons, Ronald Smith Jr., Jeffrey Bass Jr., B. J. Kee, Mark Chapman, Charles Mock and Kevin Hancock will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Kee was born on July 13, 1942 in Tift County and was the daughter of John Calvin Smith and Ethel Hayes Smith, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Floyd Kee; one brother, Hansel Smith; and one sister, Pearlie Mae Smith. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Kee is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Buddy and Jody Kee, B. J. Kee, and Abner Kee; five daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Ronald Smith, Susan and Tony Green, Margie and Sidney Brooks, Brenda and Jeffery Bass and Linda and Earl Hancock; her grandchildren and their spouses, Ronald Smith Jr., Ashley and Joe Hawkins, Mark and Brittany Chapman, Junior and Leanna Bass, Amanda and Brett Clark, Madison, Faith and Melissa Brooks, David and Charles Mock, David Walker, Christopher and Melissa Walker, Michael Walker, Kevin Hancock, Nikki Kee, Wade Harnage, Salita Hudson, Jessie Wochawak, Jessica Tinoco and Wendy Wochawak; and several great-grandchildren.
