Obituary

Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth Lawson Fulp, age 83, of Danbury went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Fulp was a native to Stokes County and member of Isom Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Fulp was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Mrs. Fulp is survived by her children, Johnnie “Joe” Fulp (Mary) of Danbury, Martha Ann Hill (James Garland) of Walnut Cove, Mitchell Ravon Fulp (Sherry) of Danbury, and Stevie Lee Fulp, Sr. of Danbury; two sisters, Virginia Lawson Fulp, of Danbury and Annie Ruth Cox, of Thomasville; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fulp was preceded in death by her husband, John Carson Fulp; her parents, Joel Issac and Nina Lawson; two grandchildren, Catherine Elizabeth Fulp and Stevie Lee Fulp, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Victoria Lynn Slate; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Wilmoth Fulp; and one sister, Macie Lawson Smith. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 27, 2011 at Isom Baptist Church in Walnut Cove at 2:00 P.M with Bro. Chester Montgomery, Pastor Wayne Marion, and Bro. Jack Anderson officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Isom Baptist Church, 2651 Tuttle Rd., Walnut Cove, NC 27052 or Hospice and Palliative Care, 235 N. Main St., Walnut Cove, NC 27052. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Hospice and special thanks to Miranda Brim and all those that helped in Mrs. Fulp’s care.
