Palermo, William J. age 69 formerly of Fort Lee and Laguna Beach, CA died Saturday, May 22, 2011. Dear brother of Nicholas Palermo, his late wife Josephine, and Eugene Palermo. Loving uncle of Jennifer, Cristina, Eugene and Elizabeth Ann. Dear great-uncle to Kennedy, Tucker, and Jack. Bill graduated from Fort Lee High School and moved on to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where he played basketball and majored in culinary arts. He then completed the Restaurant and Hotel Management Program at Fairleigh Dickenson University. Prior to relocating to California he established a restaurant in Lakewood, New Jersey named “Chickies” in tribute to his mother. For the past 25 years he has been an independent consultant to the Native American gambling industry, developing casinos throughout the country, thus his motivation for becoming a most capable pilot. Funeral service Tuesday 9AM from the Volk Leber Funeral Home 268 Kinderkamack rd., Oradell then to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 238 Columbia Ave., Cliffside Park for a 10:30AM funeral service.
