Barbara (Young) Karolides, 79, passed away on May 21, 2011 in Ledgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Joseph Karolides with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on May 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jeannette (Gamache) Young. She was a lifelong resident of Danvers. Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Besides her husband Joseph, she is survived by her children, William and Cindy Karolides of Maine, Debbie Karolides of Danvers, Tracy and Bill McNichol of Danvers and Robert and Kim Karolides of Medway, her grandchildren, Joseph, Timothy , T.J, Jared and Kristin, a sister Jean Reinhold of NH, three aunts, Shirley Gill, Alice Bezuka and Phyllis Gamache and many cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings Edward Young, Jr. and Lorraine Michaud.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
