Obituary

WORCESTER-Margaret A. (Connor) Noone, 87, of Worcester, died Friday, May 20th in the Jewish Healthcare facility. Her husband of 61 years, Paul W. Noone died last August. She leaves four sons, Paul W. Noone, Jr. and his wife Barbara, Thomas F. and his wife Suzanne, Andrew C. and his wife Elizabeth and John E. Noone all of Worcester; her daughter, Mary wife of Steven Lacaire of West Boylston; a brother William Connor and his wife Helen of Worcester; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son Robert, her brother Francis, and her sister, Mary Powers.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of William and Mary (Dunphy) Connor; graduated from Classical High School and attended Worcester Business School. Mrs. Noone had worked for Melville Shoe and later for the Massachusetts Division of Unemployment as a claim processor. She was a member of Christ the King Parish and was very active as a volunteer there. Mrs. Noone was a founding member and long time parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Church as well as a co-founder of the Anna Maria College Parent Guild. Margaret enjoyed painting, playing the piano and yearly trips to St. Augustine with her husband. She loved celebrating special occasions with her family.

The funeral is Tuesday, May 24th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, May 23rd from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
