EVANS, Harold J. “Huck” Jr., of Winthrop, May 20, 2011. Beloved husband of Nancy E, (Howe) Evans. Devoted father of Pamela M. Evans, Charles H. Evans and his wife Susan, and the late Thomas Evans, all of Winthrop. Father-in-law of Patricia Evans-Nichols, of Winthrop. Adored grandfather of Stephanie, Denise, and Kate Johnson, Matthew and Abigail Evans, and Rebecca Evans. Dear brother to the late Donald, Richard, Roy “Mike”, and Sanford “Sam” Evans, and Judith Millar. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St, WINTHROP, on Tues, May 24 from 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in St. John’s Episcopal Church, corner of Buchanan and Bowdoin Sts, on Weds, May 25, at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited. Please go directly to the church. He was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He was a Life Member of the D.A.V. and a member of the Cottage Park Yacht Club in Winthrop.
