Mary B. Addison, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Services will be private.
Mrs. Addison was born February 8, 1923 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late John P. and Mary Meekins Finger. She lived in the community for the past twelve years from Charlotte, North Carolina. Mrs. Addison received her B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina and furthered her studies from the University of California. She was a retired social worker for the State of California. Mrs. Addison was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mrs. Addison is survived by her children: Timothy Johnson of Rebecca, Jerry Johnson of Crescent City, CA and Mary A. Wolfe of Rapid City, South Dakota; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister: Evelyn Thompson of Charlotte, NC. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Johnson.
