Obituary

NEW BEDFORD — Mildred J. Fullerton, age 86 years, of New Bedford and formerly of Cuttyhunk, died Sunday the 15th of May 2011 at Hallmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Alvin Basnight, Kenneth Fullerton and Antone Goulart.

The daughter of the late Eugene F. and Mildred (Klebes) Allen, she was born in Pawtucket, R.I., and graduated from Morton Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. From the mid 1960's to the mid 1980's she was the proprietor of the well known Allen House on Cuttyhunk Island.

Mildred loved antiquing, yard sales, playing bingo and served as past president of the Women's Auxiliary of Post 156 American Legion.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Teixeira of Rutland, Judith Isidorio of Plymouth and Susan Panker of New Bedford; her sister, Ethel Coccia of Malden; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Linda Bauer.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Methodist Church, Cuttyhunk Island followed by burial in Cuttyhunk Cemetery.

It is suggested remembrances be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
