Obituary

Daniel E. Feeney, 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Sunday, May 15. He was the husband of 59 years of Mary J. (Coleman) Feeney. Born and raised in Roxbury, he was a graduate of Boston Technical High School, Class of 1945. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 53 years. Mr. Feeney was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked as a stationary fireman and maintenance for Carling’s Brewery in Natick for 25 years and Schrafft’s in Charlestown for 10 years before retiring 20 years ago. He was a member of the VFW Post 1645 and AMVETS Post 1977 both in Stoughton.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Feeney was the father of William P. Feeney and his wife Phyllis of PA, Mary C. Caizza and her late husband John of Norton, Joanne P. St. George and her husband Barry of Taunton and Carolyn F. Weineck and her husband James of Middleboro. He was the grandfather of Kathleen and Kevin Feeney and Thomas and Sarah Weineck.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, May 19 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4–8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Daniel’s memory may be made to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
