STONEHAM, MA - Eleanor B. (Wennert) Flynn, age 92, died Monday afternoon, May 16, at the Winchester Hospital, following a brief period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward F. Flynn Jr., who died in 1985.
She was born in East Boston, December 11, 1918, a daughter of the late Louis R. and Evelyn (Murray) Wennert.
She retired from the former O'Brien - Russell Insurance Agency in Boston, where se worked as a claims adjuster for more than 50 years.
As a resident of Stoneham, she was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.
She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Rose of Tewklsbury, one niece, Christine Rose of Tewksbury, two nephews, Michael and his wife Nicole (Armstrong) Rose of Nottingham, NH, and Steven and his wife Carol (Cotter) Rose of Billerica; several grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, May 18, in St. William's Church, followed by burial in Swampscott Cemetery. Memorials to St. Patrick's Chuch, 71 Central St., Stoneham, MA 02180-2025 will be appreciated.
