Frances Marie Fear, 91, of Clarksville, TN, formerly of Jefferson, Iowa, died Wednesday May 11, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
Visitation will be held at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home, Jefferson, Iowa from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday May 16, 2011. A graveside service will follow at Jefferson Cemetery with the Rev. Sheri Daylong officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Murphree, Bret Fear, Danny Lopez, Andrew Lopez, Guy Richardson, and Lee Onken.
Mrs. Fear was born in Ellsworth, Iowa on December 29, 1919 daughter of the late Joseph Anfinson and Bessie Brekke Anfinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Fear, her son, Kenneth Fear, a brother Laverne Anfinson, and a sister Irene Rod.
She worked for thirty years as the Deputy County Recorder in Greene County, Iowa. Shortly after her retirement she returned to work at Ryan's Furniture Store in Jefferson, Iowa and worked until age eighty three. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jefferson, Iowa.
Survivors include daughter Lana Murphree (Mike), Clarksville, TN; sisters, Betty Kieser, Bellevue, Nebraska and Connie Ransom, California; grandchildren. Tanner Murphree, Bret Fear, and Amber Lopez, great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Madison Fear and Andrew and Zander Lopez, and daughter-in-law- Jan Fear, Yale, Iowa.
