Gladys Teston Allen, age 102, of Deland, FL passed away on Monday, May 9, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Allen was born in Nicholls, GA on December 19, 1908 to the late Joseph Willard and Nora Ann Tanner Teston. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Deland, FL and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by husbands: Fred Stevens and Thomas Allen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 in the Rocky Pond Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. with burial following in the Douglas City Cemetery. Survivors include: nieces: Sandra Crum, Deland, FL; Debbie Wheaton, Jacksonville Beach, FL, Wanda Sneed, Jacksonville Beach, FL, Sherrie Carrol, Miami, FL and Susan Sneed, Jacksonville Beach, FL nephews: Carroll (Lurlyne) Stevens; Rusty Teston, Texas and several other nieces and nephews of the Stevens family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
