Mary Ruth Corley Thompson, age 84 of Douglas, GA passed away at Shady Acres Convalescent Home on Monday, May 9, 2011. Mrs. Thompson was born to the late Hugh and Eva Mae Allgood Corley on December 21, 1926 in Hardinsburg, KY. She had worked as a waitress in a restaurant. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with burial following in the Reedy Branch Church Cemetery. Survivors include: brothers: Clifford Corley, Douglas, GA and Donald R. Corley, Peoria, IL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
