GRACE (BONANNO) ANZALONE, 92, of Hingham, formerly of Everett, died on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 at Harbor Nursing Center in Hingham. Mrs. Anzalone was raised and educated in Roxbury and West Roxbury. For most of her adult life she lived in Everett before coming to Hingham 5 years ago. She worked as an assembler for the Stride-Rite Shoe Factory in Roxbury and was well known for her love of dancing.
She was the wife of the late Anthony Anzalone and was the sister of Thomas Bonanno, William Bonanno, Robert Bonanno and Annette Anastasi. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mrs. Anazalone was predeceased by her brother, Nicholas Bonanno; and sisters, Mary Ramaci and Eleanor Caruso.
Funeral Friday, May 13th at 9:00 AM from the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham followed by Funeral Mass at St. Paul's Church, 147 North St., Hingham Square at 10 AM. Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Thursday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
Interment at the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne on Friday at 1:15 PM.
