M. Phyllis Wilson (Lowry), 86, of Taunton MA, died Saturday May 7, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Phillis was born to the late Alexander and Margaret (Sheehan) Lowry of Cambridge MA. Wife to the late George "Happy" Wilson, she was a resident of Taunton for the past 45 years. Phyllis is a retired mental health worker formerly employed at Taunton State Hospital for nearly 30 years. An avid reader and prolific cook, Phyllis enjoyed entertaining her large family, travelling and shopping. Phyllis is survived by her children; Gregory Wilson of Medford, Gary and Deanna Wilson of Dorchester, Glen Wilson of Farmington, CT, Marybeth and John Noble of Scituate, and Margaret and Carl Gunderson of Conway, NH. Her grandchildren; Erin Noble, Kalaine Noble, Shaun Wilson, Michael Wilson, Mark Wilson, Ian Gunderson and Katherine Gunderson. Phyllis also leaves behind her brother William and his wife Gertrude Lowry of Cambridge, MA, Dorothy Lowery, wife of Theodore, and many nieces and nephews. She survived her brother Theodore Lowry of Wilmington, her brother John Lowry and his wife Anne Lowry of Belmont. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her wake, held at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton, MA 02780 on Weds. May 11 at 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 AM. Mass will be held at the Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 AM, 31 First St. Taunton, MA 02780. Interment St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
