FERNEKES, RAYMOND B., 79, of Monticello, NY formerly of Waldwick, NJ died on Saturday, May 7, 2011.
Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Vokral). Devoted father of Kathy L. & her husband Gary Beresky and Raymond & his partner Anthony J. Rivera. Dear brother of Dorothy R. Walterbach and Eugene Fernekes. Loving grandfather of Michael and Alison.
Raymond was US Navy Veteran and served in the Korean War. Before retiring he worked as the Head Custodian for the Waldwick Board of Education, Waldwick, NJ. He was a member of American Legion Post 1266, Wurtsboro, NY and the Mamakating Seniors Club.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd. Teaneck, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
