James Fahy Sr, of Plymouth, passed away at home on May 7th surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81. Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Anna (O’Sullivan) of Plymouth and his children Catherine Fahy of Weymouth, Dennis Fahy and his wife Bambilynn of Bridgewater, Juliann Hoch and her husband Mark of Middleton, Geraldine Petrillo of Plymouth and James Fahy Jr. of Plymouth. He also leaves his sister Maureen Lynch of Queens, NY and his 7 cherished grandchildren Olivia, Will, Kiera, Russell, Brenna, Declan and Aidan. James was born in County Clare Ireland and has lived in Plymouth for 37 years. James co-founded Murphy and Fahy Construction Co. in 1976 and prior to that had owned his own company called Jim Fahy Trucking and Construction. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed Irish dancing, all Boston sports, bike riding, traveling especially to Ireland and the Catskills and his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Tuesday, May 10th from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM followed by burial at Manomet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360, or to Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center, 330 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215.
