William J. Kelly, 50, of Derry, NH, died Friday May 6, 2011 in his home in Derry. He was born in Great Falls, MT on February 28, 1961, a son of Virginia (Griffith) Kelly and the late Ronald E. Kelly. He was a resident of Derry for the past 16 years, formerly living in Malden, MA and Melrose, MA where he graduated from Melrose High School. Mr. Kelly was employed as a tile setter for Capitol Carpet and Flooring Specialists, Inc in Woburn, MA. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Mr. Kelly was very involved in his children's sporting activities, as his life revolved around spending time with his children.
He is survived by one daughter, Meghan E. Kelly of Londonderry; one son, Michael P. Kelly of Londonderry; his mother, Virginia (Griffith) Kelly of Stoneham, MA; one brother, Michael C. Kelly of Marlborough, MA; two sisters, Katherine Hurley and her husband Stephen of Sagamore Beach, MA, and Betty Jo Johnson and her husband Steven of Wilmington, MA; the mother of his children, Cynthia Kelly of Londonderry; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Calling hours were held on Tuesday, May 10th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2:00pm in the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 65 Sagamore St., Manchester, NH. The burial followed in the Pillsbury Cemetery in Londonderry.
