Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother
BEVERLY: Nives A. (DelMul) Turrin, age 86, of Beverly, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
She was the beloved wife of Fred Turrin, who passed away on June 20, 2000.
Born in Cordenons, Italy on October 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Ceaser DelMul and the late Augusta (Fcian)DelMul.
Nives came from Italy to the United States at the age of 15 and resided with her family in New Jersey , where she attended local schools.
Following her marriage, she and her late husband moved to East Elmhurst, NY and later to Queens, NY.
In 1990, they moved to Tewksbury, where they attended numerous dances and day trips sponsored by the Tewksbury Senior Center.
Nives dedicated her life to her family and her home. She enjoyed spending time with neighbors, playing cards, taking her children to shows in Manhattan, traveling to the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii and Maine and flower gardening.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Bortolato and her husband Frank of Norwood, NJ and Diana Barnes and her husband Brad of Beverly; four grandchildren, Michael Bortolato and his wife Karin, Lisa Harper and her husband Travis, Kathleen Whelton and Christine Whelton; four great grandchildren, Leah, Sophia, Ryan and Emily.
At the request of the family funeral services were held privately. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
