Obituary

Pamela Jean (Barrows) Foulger, 52, of Hampstead, NH, formerly of New Bedford, passed away May 6, 2011 after a long illness, surrounded by the love of her large family. She was the incomparable wife of Martin D. Foulger.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Marion (Monteiro) Barrows, Pam worked many jobs in the fields of telecommunications and health care in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut, most recently at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. Outside of her career, she was known for her selfless devotion to others as a loving auntie, caregiver, and volunteer, as well as her many creative talents for sewing, jewelry making, and cooking for friends and family. Pam was devoted to the love of her life, her husband Martin, and their dog Abby.
Survivors include her sister, Debra Simmons and her husband Robert of East Kingston, NH; her brother, Douglas K. Barrows and his wife Nancy of New Bedford; her sister, Terri Martin of New Bedford; beloved nieces, Lindsay, Kate, Sarah, Kelsey, and Taylor; her nephew, Brandon; and many, many extended family members in the New Bedford area.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service. A memorial celebration of her life will be announced in the near future.
