Obituary

WORCESTER-Madelyn J. (King) Paika, 83 of 27 Mt. Vernon Street died Tuesday, January 27th in Radius Healthcare Center. She leaves a son Joseph D. Paika, a daughter Mary Jane McNally, a brother John King and a sister Frances Bennett all of Worcester, a granddaughter Catrina Casseday and a great grand-daughter Mia Cassaday. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Judith Ann Paika, a brother Gordon King and a sister Jacqueline Marcalek.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Leo and Florence R. (Jacques) King and was a graduate of Commerce High School. Mrs. Paika had been employed as a surgical technician at Worcester City Hospital retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church, the Catholic Daughters of America and a former member of St. Peter’s Parish.

The funeral is Thursday, January 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 281 Lincoln Street. Burial is in St. John’s Cemetery.
