Obituary

Dr. Kitsa (Doku) Fields of Pittsford, NY passed away on May 5, 2011 in Framingham, MA. Kitsa was a retired Dentist and accomplished Artist that resided in the Greater Rochester area until recently when she relocated to be closer to her immediate family in Massachusetts.

Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Kitsa was a resident of Pittsford, NY for most of her adult life. She was a graduate of the University of Istanbul Dental School. She completed fellowships at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health and Forsyth Dental Institute. Following her schooling, Kitsa and her husband ran a successful Dentistry practice for many years in the Greater-Rochester, NY area. Kitsa also enjoyed poetry. She was also an active member of the Greek community of Rochester. She belonged to numerous organizations and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Kitsa was the dear and devoted wife of the late Dr. Martin E. Fields. Loving mother of Odette Newsome and her husband Jay Newsome Esq of Stow, MA and Annette Wolf and her husband Dr. Walter Wolf of South Hadley, MA. She was the beloved sister of Dr. Joanne Doku of Brookline and Dr. H. Chris Doku and his wife Theodora of Wellesley. She was the cherished grandmother of Marielle Newsome and Christopher, David and Bryan Wolf and the dear aunt of Lucy Poulos and her husband Peter and Deadra Doku.

Kitsa's Funeral Service was held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Chapel 162 Goddard Ave. Brookline. Please make contributions in Kitsa's memory to the Memorial Art Gallery at the University of Rochester, 500 University Ave. Rochester, NY 14607 or to the Eastman Institute of Oral Health, P.O. Box 270032, Rochester, NY 14627.
Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
