Midlred V. (Donoghue) Ahern 90, formerly of Mill Pond Rd. died Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Knollwood Nursing Home.

Her husband John E. Ahern died in 1980. She leaves a son, John and his wife, Barbara Ahern of Paxton; a grandson, Ryan Ahern of Paxton; a sister, Agnes O’Keefe of Attleboro; and nieces and nephews. A sister, Catherine Fleming and two brothers, Frederick and Francis Donoghue, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Michael and Mary (Murphy) Ahern and graduated from Ascension High School and Worcester School of Business.

Mrs. Ahern worked for many years for the Commonwealth Gas Company, before retiring in 1974.She was a member of Christ the King Church.

A Funeral will be held Saturday, Jan 31. From FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling Hours are Saturday, Jan 31. From 8 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
