Mrs. Linda H. (Evans) Osborne, of Taunton, died Tuesday, May 3 in Longmeadow of Taunton following a period of failing health. She was born 97 years ago in Birmingham, England, the daughter of the late Ernest and Edith (Jones) Evans. She was educated in England, having immigrated to the United States in 1962, and had been a Taunton resident for over 20 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a Dietary Supervisor for a hospital in Houston, Texas for 1 ½ years. She had previously been employed at All Soul’s Hospital, Morristown, New Jersey for 10 years. Mrs. Osborne enjoyed playing bingo at the V.F.W. on Ingell Street in Taunton, doing crossword puzzles, reading and listening to audiotapes.
She leaves: 1 daughter: Trina Snook and her husband, Barry of Taunton; 1 sister: Brenda Evans of Birmingham, England; 1 grandson: David A. Meyer of Greenville, Texas, and 2 stepgranddaughters: Kendra Vaughan of Berkley and Karyn Hoffman of Taunton.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
