WEBSTER - Helen B. (Poplawski) Ostrokolowicz, 94, of 42 Harris Street, died Wednesday, May 4, in Oakwod Rehab & Nursing Center. Her husband of 25 years, Chester T. Ostrokolowicz, died in 1961.
She leaves 2 sons, Chester Ostrokolowicz , Sr. and his wife Maryann and Edward C. Ostrokolowicz and his wife Lorraine, all of Webster; 6 grandchildren, Ronald, Anthony, Chester Jr. and Timothy Ostrokolowicz, Debra Horan and Dawn Shores; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Webster, one of the 8 children of Charles and Rose (Horonezewicz) Poplawski and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Ostrokolowicz was a cutter at the Ethan Allen Company in Dudley for 20 years before she retired.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica, its Holy Rosary Sodality, its Sacred Heart Society and its Saint Anne Society.
The funeral will be held Friday, May 6, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling hour will be held from 8:45 to 9:45 AM Friday, May 6, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Saint Joseph School Immediate Needs Fund or to Saint Joseph Basilica, both 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570.
