Thomas R. Whittaker, age 75, of Salem, NH, died Wednesday at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.
He was born in Methuen, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Salem for many years.
Mr. Whittaker was a silk screen printer for Huntington Products in Lawrence, MA. He previously trained and drove Sulkies for harness racing. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War, and was a member of the Salem VFW Post 8546. He enjoyed watching sports, woodworking and was an avid gardener. Mr. Whittaker is reunited with his late wife Hannah S. (Hanscom), whom he missed very much.
He is survived by his stepchildren and grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH. There are no calling hours.
