Myles G. Farrell, 76...
Retired Property Manager for Simon Companies, Braintree

LYNN: Myles G. Farrell, age 76, a longtime resident of Lynn, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Heywood Hospital in Gardner, following a brief illness.
He was the beloved husband of Teresa (MacPherson) Farrell, who passed away on January 26, 2001.
Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada on October 27, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph Farrell and the late Anne (MacDonald) Farrell.
Myles was raised on Cape Breton Island and attended Cape Breton Schools.
He resided in Cambridge for many years, where he and his late wife raised their children. Myles later moved to Lynn in 1996.
Prior to his retirement in 2004, he was employed as a property manager by the Simon Companies of Braintree, where he worked for over 15 years.
Myles was an avid hockey fan and especially enjoyed cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. In addition, he enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues in the Brighton area of Boston.
He is survived by two children, Anne M. Cordeiro of Danvers and Michael A. Farrell and his wife Kellie of Dracut; five grandchildren, Michael and Kristina Cordeiro, and Matthew, Ava and Julia Farrell; two great grandchildren, Javian Arroyo and Riley Farrell; his son-in-law, Carl Cordeiro of Medford; one sister, Rita Morrison of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada; one brother, John Farrell of Toronto, Canada; his brother-in-law, Leonard Stevenson of Dominion, Nova Scotia, Canada; also many nieces and nephews.
Myles was also the brother of the late Lavinia Farrell, Audrey Stevenson, and Michael Farrell.

Calling hours Sunday, May 1, from 2-5 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service to be held at the funeral home. Following cremation, interment will be held in Canada. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
