Ester (Mello) Neto, 88, of Fall River died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was wife of the late Manuel R. Neto. Born in Bermuda, daughter of the late Jesse and Rosa (Lindo) Mello, she had lived in Fall River for most of her life. Mrs. Neto was an avid gardener, she enjoyed reading her bible, but most of all she loved being with her family.
Survivors include her children: Jeremiah Neto, Aires Neto, Jesse Neto, Noemia Medeiros, Dovalina Leandro and Rose Martin all of Fall River, Manny Neto of Plymouth, Lena Pacheco of Seekonk, Hilda Wills of Westport, Rosemary Sylvester and Lisa Gomez both of NJ and Teresa Pineault of Holyoke; 2 brothers: John Mello and David Mello both of Fall River; a sister: Sara Ferreira of Fall River; 32 beloved grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Joyce Fortier and sister of the late Albert, Jose, Jerry, Noemia and Lina.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 2 – 5 P.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
