Elizabeth (Cole) Thompson, age 88, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Elizabeth was the wife of the late George Thompson and is survived by her 2 sons, Stephen Morrison and his wife Shirley of Halifax and Bruce Morrison and his wife Patricia of Stoughton, her 4 grandchildren; Nila Morrison of Laconia, NH, Stephen Morrison and his wife Priscilla of Temecula, CA, Kimberly Hansler and her husband Scott of Raynham and Robert Morrison of Stoughton. She also leaves 11 great grandchildren. Betty was a life long resident of Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1936. She worked for Bradlees Department Store in Braintree for 5 years. A Funeral Service will be held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday, April 29 at 10 A.M. Visiting Hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Betty’s memory to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
