Mr. Harold Leon Taylor, age 67, of Saltville, Va., passed away on, Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Baptist Hospital. He was born on March 19, 1944 in Saltville, Va. to the late Lundie and Irene Taylor. Mr. Taylor served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Taylor is survived two daughters and son-in-laws, Suellyn and Eric George, of Westfield, and Elizabeth and Tony Heath, of Walnut Cove; one brother, Loomis Taylor, of Saltville, Va.; three sisters, Bernice Blackburn, of Winston-Salem, Edna Hyde, of California, and Lola Lewis, of South Carolina, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 28 years, Gwendolyn Taylor; one brother, Irvin Taylor, of Saltville, Va., and one sister, Mary Rakofski, of Leesburg, Fla. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Francisco Presbyterian Church at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Tracey Collins officiating.
