ROCKINGHAM: Mr. Michael Wayne Weatherford, 39, of 1023 Pineridge Drive, Rockingham, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 in FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, in the Outreach For Jesus Church with Bishop Marvin Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
A lifelong resident of Richmond County, Michael was born on July 12, 1971, and worked in construction. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Leviner Wright.
He is survived by a son, Christian Rhodes of Rockingham; two daughters, Ashtin Drabenstot of Wagram, Mikala Rhodes of Rockingham; two brothers, Billy Hunt and Chris Hopkins both of Rockingham; two sisters, Salenea Wright King of Ellerbe, Marie Hopkins Chavez of Rockingham; stepmother, Sandra Hopkins of Rockingham; an uncle, Marcus Wright of Hamlet; and fiance, Susan Atkins of the home.
