GLOUCESTER: Kelly A. (Santos) Thompson, 55, died Friday, April 22, 2011 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following an extended illness. She was the loving wife of Douglas T. Thompson.
Born in Gloucester on January 15, 1956, she was the daughter of Lois (Goodhue) Santos of Gloucester and the late Gabriel J. Santos. She had resided in Gloucester most of her life and was a graduate of Gloucester High School.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sara A. Thompson and Michael Puglisi of Gloucester; a son and daughter-in-law, Allan J. and Ann Woodard of Newburyport; three grandchildren, Joshua Mello, David O’Brien and Jaidan Puglisi all of Gloucester; four sisters, Sandra Beaulieu, Gina and her husband, Joseph Brancaleone, Shelly Chaisson and Johnna Santos; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Rhodes, Paula and her husband, Wayne Mattson and Ruth and her husband, Chuck Johnson and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was also predeceased by her brother, Ronnie Santos and a cousin, Robert Maciel.
Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 4 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
