Paul William Adkins, age 74, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in the Golden Living Center, Martinsville, VA.
Born May 10, 1936 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Monsey Wade Adkins and Lelia Hedrick Adkins. He retired from the Greensboro Transit Authority.
There are three children: One son: Johnnny William Adkins; two daughters: Katherine Adkins-Booth and Christina Davis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Swicegood Funeral Home Friday, April 22, 2011, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. A graveside funeral service officiated by the Rev. Charles Scearce will follow in the Green Bay Christian Church Cemetery, Callands, Virginia, at 2 p.m.
