Obituary

TRACIA-LIBURDI, Carmela (Forgione)- Of Everett, formerly of Revere, April 19th. Devoted wife of the late Anthony Tracia and Francis M. "Butch" Liburdi. Beloved mother of Mildred Colantonio of Saugus, Louise Blake of Chelsea, Louis Tracia of Arkansas, Judith Mitchell and her husband George of Revere, Thomas Tracia of California, Michael Tracia and his wife Pauline of Chelsea and the late Anthony Tracia and Jeanette Citro. One of sixteen children she is survived by Josephine Cataldo of Saugus, Mary Petrillo of Revere, John Forgione of New Hampshire. Lovingly survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Tuesday, April 26th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere Street, Revere at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Expressions of sympathy in Carmela's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
Born in Worcester and a resident of East Boston and Revere for most of her life, Carmela, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett after a brief illness at the age of 94. In her working years, she worked for Armour in South Boston for about 10 years, but for over 28 years until her retirement in 2000, she worked for Mike's Donut on Rt. 99 in Everett.
